| Qualifying gets underway |

Six Hungarian players will try to qualify themselves to the Main Draw of GDF Suez Grand Prix. The seeded players are Timea Bacsinszky (SUI), Mariana Duque Marino (COL) Petra Martic (CRO), Ekaterina Ivanova (RUS), Irina Begu (ROU), Sharon Fichman (CAN), Tereza Hladikova (CZE) and Anna Floris (ITA), but two former semifinalists, Eleni Daniilidou and Aniko Kapros also try to get into the best 32. There will be two all-Hungarian matches, wild card player Vaszilisza Bulgakova (the 15 year old playing her first professional tournament) vs Reka Jani (playing her first Tour event), and wild card players, Yvett Imre vs Blanka Szavay (Agnes Szavay's younger sister). Aniko Kapros plays against 5th seeded Roumanian Begu, while wild card player Csilla Argyelan will try to get the best out of herself against Serbian Natasa Zoric. |
