Gréta Arn: 'Alizé is a very good player, she will win the final'

Our web site asked Hungary's Gréta Arn for her views after losing her semifinal match against Alizé Cornet

'Alizé is a very athletic tennis player, I had to run a lot after her shots. It is difficult to beat her on clay. She is a very good player, I think she will win the final. It is a characteristic of great players that they can many times turn around losing positions, they are able to concentrate in such situations even more and it is unbelievable what balls they can return. Alizé was such a player in today's match, that is why I was not able to secure some winning situations. In principle, I'm a more powerful player than her and that's what I built my tactics on, that power should have been the force to achieve a breakthrough. However, I lost energy, perhaps I felt the effect of my recent tonsil inflammation and the fatigue surfaced now. I could play a good game [in the quarterfinal] against Zakopalova but she did not have as high fighting spirit as Alizé has and she is not that great player, either. As for the whole week, I'm not disappointed but one really wishes to win tournament's like this in her home country and it is a dream for many people that once a Hungarian player lifts the trophy at the Római Tennis Academy.'
