Anastasia Sevastova, Polona Hercog, and Patty Schnyder have already qualified themselves into the quarterfinals of GDF SUEZ Grand Prix.
Estoril winner Sevastova spent only 48 minutes to perform a surprising 61 61 victory over 5th seeded Shuai Peng to have a quarterfinal encounter against the winner of 2nd seeded Dulgheru vs Anna Chakvetadze but their match will only be finished tomorrow as it was suspended at 76 16. Did you know that Anastasia Sevastova is the first Latvian player to play the main draw in Budapest?
Second match on center court was 8th seeded Polona Hercog against Catalina Castano. They had already played three times before (2-1 to Hercog) but the last one, this year in Bogota, was won by the Colombian. Polona now improved her record to 3-1 with a hard fought 46 64 64 victory and prepares against last year's finalist Patty Schnyder who upset 1st seeded Alisa Kleybanova with a 64 63 win.

Tomorrow the remaining four and a half 2nd round matches will be held with two Hungarians, Gréta Arn aganst 4th seeded Medina Garrigues and defending champion Ági Szávay who faces Yvonne Meusburger of Austria.
