Players from 27 nations gathered in Budapest this year to fight for the title at the GDF SUEZ Grand Prix.

There are atheletes of 18 countries on the main draw for example from Colombia, Kazahstan and China, the latter is represented by Shuai Peng who is the second Chinese player of tournament's history.

The first (and so far the last) player from China was Fang Li, who reached the semifinals in 1998 defeating 1st seeded Sandrine Testud on the way. She was the 6th seeded player 12 years ago just like Shuai this year. The 24 years old right handed player is looking for her first title of the year, she has a semifinal from Estoril but she didn't play since Madrid due to illness.

She withdrew from Roland Garross and Wimbledon as well but she's back in Budapest!
